Colorado veteran fights drilling rights as 400,000 acres head for oil leases

A Colorado landowner and Desert Storm veteran is continuing his legal fight against oil and gas drilling rights beneath Baker’s Peak after the Bureau of Land Management rejected his protest. His appeal comes as the BLM prepares to offer more than 400,000 acres of Colorado land for drilling across six lease sales through December 2026.
