The National Investigation Agency filed a charge sheet detailing the Red Fort vehicle-borne IED attack. The bomber initially targeted Lal Mandir but was diverted by traffic and police presence. He detonated the explosive near Red Fort Gate No. 4, killing eleven people. The device was triggered remotely using a mechanism fitted into the bomber's shoe. This attack was the first vehicle-borne IED incident reported in the national capital.
